United Tribes Falls to Miles Community College, 75-67
The United Tribes Technical College women's basketball team fell to Miles Community College, 75-67, Wednesday evening at the James Henry Gymnasium. A huge fourth quarter run for the Pioneers sealed the victory when they outscored the Thunderbirds, 28-14.
Sophomore, LaTosha Thunderhawk, continued her dominant play and let UTTC with 21 points. Tyleigh Brady and Amaya Ramsey also finished in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Brady also missed her first double-double of the season with nine assists.
The Thunderbirds shot a 45.2 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from behind the arch. The Pioneers outscored the Thunderbirds with points off the bench, 40-34.
The Thunderbirds are back in action when they travel to Lake Region State College, Sunday January 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00pm at the Devils Lake SportsCenter with UTTC men to follow.
