Thunderbirds Fall on the Road at Miles in Return to Action

Following a 10 day pause the United Tribes Thunderbirds return to action to face the Pioneers of Miles Community College on the road Friday night.  The game was tightly contested throghout and the Thunderbirds went into the lockerrom at halftime clinging to a 43-42 lead.  When play resumed in the second half the teams traded baskets until the Pioneers used a 10-2 run in the final minutes to pull away 99-88.

Leading the way for the Thunderbirds were Tyree Whitcomb with 22 points and Tate Bear with 21.  Also reaching double figures were Dayson Kohlus with 14 and Lane Johnson with 13.  Luke Wells had a game high 6 assists.

The Thunderbirds return home to face the top two teams in the conference squaring off with league leading Dawson Community College on Sunday at 3pm and North Dakota State College of Science on Tuesday at 7:30pm
